ABOUT THIS ALBUM
Max Highstein's series, Gentle Music for Massage, was created specifically for massage therapists to use in their work. The music is soothing and relatively simple, with sweet melodies and deep textures to support your clients in easily relaxing and letting go. Volume 3 departs from the first two in the series, in that it is a collection of gentle solo piano pieces backed with soft synthesizer voice pads. The background sound of a sweet mountain stream also runs throughout the album.
NOTE: Although there appear to be only two "songs" on this album, each "song" is actually composed of several pieces, joined together with the background mountain stream. The result is two extended parts to the album, one half hour each.
The Gentle Music for Massage series has been enthusiastically embraced by massage therapists, healing practitioners, and their clients in healing arts offices everywhere.
Max Highstein says, "I began making music for healing by improvising on the piano many years ago. From the improvisations I developed a style of playing that I've used on various albums and behind some of my guided meditations. One example of this style can be heard on the song, Inner Lights, on the Path of the Heart album. I wanted to create a full hour long album that would be a collection of pieces like this, and that's what Gentle Music for Massage Volume 3 is.
